Valentine’s Day Outfit Inspiration for Your Next Date

Valentine’s day is right around the corner and it’s time to start planning what outfits you’ll be sporting for all your date ideas and Galentine’s get-togethers. I’ve compiled some of my favorite pink & red outfits that are perfect for your special dates!

There’s a whole range of outfits to browse, from classic to bold and even practical for the weather. I’m sure you’ll love this look book full of outfit inspiration for your Galentine’s Day!

Beginning with a bold floral, this Wild Fable jumpsuit is to die for. I fell in love with the soft material and who could say no to pockets as deep as those?

I did have the V-neck hemmed to my liking as I am not as busty as the figure makes up for, however, there were no issues with having to trim excess fabric. It was very simple to fold and add a simple stitch to keep the top from falling open.

This jumpsuit is perfect for running errands, a day out on the town, or even a picnic in the park!

While some of us will be busy around the office, it’s no reason not to dress for the season!

Mix and match classic patterns with bold colors for fashion-forward business attire. A long pencil skirt can be paired with almost any top for different looks, and once you add a jacket it’s game time!

I kept this look simple with a pastel pink sweater that tucks into the skirt to accentuate my figure before pairing it with the complimentary jacket.

This outfit is perfect for a brunch date with friends or for if you’ll be rushing to your date the moment you get out of the office.

If you didn’t know already, this is actually the second annual Valentine’s Look Book created by the Untamed Optimist.

Each year the outfits featured are unique from the previous, so be sure to head over to the 2021 Look Book for even more outfit inspiration!

Now for something practical for all our cold weathered friends…

February isn’t ideal for most of us to have a sunny day out on the town, but we don’t have to let the weather spoil our plans. This outfit is perfect for cool weather despite having barren legs. Why?

Well, the sweater tucked into the romper dress creates an insulating layer against your body to keep you warm. Next, we add this color-blocked cardigan from Francesca’s, and voila, it’s even cozier!

You could also pair this outfit with a pair of leggings or tights underneath, especially if you are going on a night excursion and plan on the weather getting cooler. This outfit is versatile other than that it is a dress and you may want to wear shorts underneath or be considerate of what activities you may have planned before picking this one out.

Speaking of leggings… this outfit delicately balances bold design and comfort for the coziest of vibes. Pair it with some simple silver jewelry for a chic look.

As someone with not a lot of pinks and florals in her wardrobe, I sure do love creating these Valentine’s Day Look Books for you! This long-sleeve thin sweater pairs well with some bold slip-on shoes for a simple yet elegant Valentine’s look that anyone can rock!

As always, be sure to share your ideas and keep the conversation going in the comments letting us know if you were inspired by any of these new looks!

There’s nothing better than completely transform There’s nothing better than completely transforming a space with a new garden…

This shady spot in the yard misses much of the direct sun in the surrounding beds and the grass has gotten choked out by English Ivy and roots from nearby shade trees. It’s also an awkward spot to mow when those few patches of grass grow too tall. So I opted for a shade garden instead.

The only problem with adding a new garden bed in is that it can get pricey, and quick. Factoring in the time, materials, and exhaustion—it doesn’t always seem worth it until you see the bigger picture coming together.

But I had a vision for this space. An area full of plants that would thrive in these conditions and eliminate the need for future tending. No more mowing and even taller, prettier plants to view in the meantime.

So that’s what I set out to do. It’s not done yet by any means, as one day the entire area should fill itself in, and maybe then we’ll mulch between the plants. But for now, I’m perfectly fine with watching and waiting for that day to come.

Truth is, life got a little overwhelming this past month. I’m finishing up my degree, taking my business into new territories and making mistakes to learn from along the way, and then there’s the blog. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not stoked to have missed posting for y’all this month, but I did need time to focus on other important things in my life.

That being said, I’ll be tying up some loose ends this week and you can expect to see big changes coming to the blog before Mother’s Day! 🙌

I don’t want to spoil too much for now but keep an eye out because you won’t want to miss this! 😁

The blue corn chips made it feel extra fancy 😎 but I’d also make room for some rice next time as this wasn’t enough to keep me full while working in the garden.
